The kitchen, for me, is not just a place to cook but also to create and connect with my inner self through the process of preparing a meal. All of the various cookware and other items in my kitchen are precious to me, but I’m especially fond of my ceramic wares. Growing older and developing a more intimate relationship with the kitchen, I’m taking a more “quality vs quantity” approach to buying ceramics. Knowing who created them, where they were made, and the rich story behind these products gives me a greater sense of their true value.

I first found out about Tuhu Ceramics after a visit to my favourite clothing shop, Meraki, on Mac Thi Buoi street. They had some of Tuhu’s items on display and I was immediately drawn to their signature mesmerizing cobalt blue color. They had just opened a new showroom in Thao Dien nearby, so I decided to check it out.
